Currently occupying 122,000sf within the US Steel Building, Eckert Seamans selected A. Martini & Co. to perform the major facelift to their headquarters in Pittsburgh, which is home to over 400 attorneys. The scope of work entailed updates and renovations to various spaces, on multiple floors, throughout their office space. Close coordination was key, as groups of employees have been moved into other floors or areas while their offices are overhauled, so as not to disrupt their daily operations. This was completed through eight (8) timed construction phases. Our team hit every phase completion date despite an accelerated schedule. A. Martini & Co. worked all daylight hours, coordinating exactly where the lawyers needed to move in and out of spaces on the various floors.
There were also major technology upgrades happening during this renovation. In addition, the law firms reception area was expanded, additional conference rooms added and a major renovation to their main conference area was completed.
“The decision to renovate as opposed to moving to a new space created challenges for our entire design and construction team. A. Martini & Co. was up to the challenge. From day one A. Martini & Co. integrated seamlessly with Eckert Seamans, the architect and the building owner on this project. The project leadership at A. Martini & Co. played a major role in the end product and has exceeded our expectations. I highly recommend them to any company looking for a professional, talented and customer focused construction firm.”
