Once home to Nabisco bakery, Google planted its roots in the 100-year old historic building in Pittsburgh’s Bakery Square. A. Martini & Co. performed the pre-construction and construction services for the total 111,000sf fit-out of the abandoned building into the regional Google headquarters. The scope of work included offices, conference spaces, unique structures, a circular steel conference room, waterfalls, numerous kitchens and dining areas, extensive mechanical support, and a reinforced outside deck at the penthouse level. Extensive pre-construction budgeting and constructability reviews took place between Google, Strada and AMC and the projects were all completed within a challenging time frame, achieving LEED Gold Certifications. Google required that the construction team adhere to their international management systems and strict regulations for corporate compliance and standards.

“A. Martini & Co. was a great partner on this project.  Renovating this building to meet Google’s needs was challenging.  A. Martini’s commitment helped to resolve issues “on the ground” and complete this project successfully.”
