Martini & Co was awarded the General Construction contract for the new 70,000sf/ 5 floors tenant fit-out for the law firm of Dickie, McCamey, & Chilcote relocated in 4 Gateway Center. The project includes a main lobby greeting area with a large conference space designed to be partitioned into smaller conference rooms, with a catering kitchen to service the area for various meetings and gatherings. There are 5 elevator lobbies, executive offices, additional meeting rooms, multiple micro kitchens, numerous offices with custom office fronts, 8 “gang” bathrooms, all designed with an elevated contemporary look by Perkins Eastman.

A. Martini & Co was selected to work with CBRE and RareMed Solutions to build out their Pittsburgh headquarters. After completing the original space, we were selected to return to build out the 8,000sq.ft. expansion portion which included open and closed office spaces, training rooms, a break room, new conference room and restrooms. The first floor build out of the office space includes their 10,100sqft. specialty pharmacy – this space required supplemental services, including a separate generator to protect the precision of the climate controls and electrical services for the space. The remainder of the RareMed office includes open and closed offices, state-of-the-art conference rooms, and a kitchen with an eat in the dining area. A. Martini & Co was also hired by CBRE to complete the remainder of the first floor of 200 Industry Drive which included multiple restrooms, corridors, a fitness center, an expanded dining area and kitchen as well as a multistory grand main lobby.

Civil & Environmental Consultants, LLC office exterior at Cherrington Office Park

A. Martini & Co was hired for the complete interior demolition and renovation of the Civil & Environmental Consultants, LLC at Cherrington Office Park. The 120,000 SF office building consisted of four stories for this total renovation. The scope of work included the build out of offices, along with the addition of stand-alone workstations, conference rooms, break rooms, micro kitchens, lobby, corridors, and restrooms.

Whiteford, Taylor, Preston Law Office

A. Martini & Co. was selected as the General Contractor for the new office space for the Pittsburgh location of Whiteford, Taylor, and Preston Law Firm at 11 Stanwix in downtown Pittsburgh. The 12,000SF project consists of private offices, conference rooms, a lounge, and kitchenette. The A. Martini team utilized Procore to streamline communication with both the out-of-town architect and owner to ensure the project remained on schedule as well as on budget. Subsequent to the completion of the original contract, AMC was hired by the tenant to build out the adjacent space to accommodate return-to-office employees. A. Martini & Co. has completed numerous Law Office projects in Center City Pittsburgh that include both Pittsburgh headquartered firms and out of town headquartered firms, with a local Pittsburgh presence.

Hawthorne Group

This project is a blending of history with innovation. Hawthorne Group selected a tenant space at the Historic Landmark –  The Henry W. Oliver building designed by Daniel Burnham. This tenant space is located on an occupied floor, noise control was required due to both adjacent tenants and those located on the floors above and below. A. Martini & Co. self-performed the framing and drywall scopes; the property owner carried the HVAC scope and installation. The interior finishes were coordinated with the terra cotta façade of the building. The original maple floors were refinished to appear as they did in 1910. The original building marble was refinished, as well, as a tribute to Burnham’s design. The transom windows were uncovered and replaced with low iron glass, which is the clearest glass available, to maximize the daylighting in the space. Building during the COVID pandemic impacted the project schedule due to the many supply chain issues. AMC creatively came up with alternative means and methods to counter balance the many delays in material delivery. The lighting package and controls were unique – the lighting follows the circadian rhythm starting with warm tones (sunrise) in the morning and gradually changes to a brighter white light (bright afternoon sun) and then goes back to warm (sunset) light in the late afternoon. A. Martini & Co was hired by Hawthorne to build out the adjacent space shortly after completion of the original contract.

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC

A. Martini & Co. was selected by the law firm of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC for the interior fit-out of 135,471sf of space across floors 2, 4, 5, and 6 in the Union Trust Building. This project was broken into scheduled phasing, which had to be reassessed because mold was discovered once demolition began on the sixth floor. A. Martini was able to successfully rearrange the initial phases so that abatement could happen and construction could still progress, to stay on the established schedule, achieving the Client’s opening date.

This high-end space consists of Conference Center with 9 conference rooms, huddle rooms, a Technology Lab and collaboration spaces on each floor, large café area with seating, libraries on all floors, open and private offices and a large lobby/reception with an intricate light feature on the ceiling, mirroring the interior ceiling of the Union Trust Building.

EY Pittsburgh

A. Martini & Co. was selected by Ernst & Young as the General Contractor for the complete build-out of their offices in PPG Place, encompassing 23,000sf of space. Their team remained on the floor below, and in a swing space on a floor above, while construction was taking place. The scope of work for the project entailed the construction of open office areas, formal and informal conference rooms, training rooms, a kitchen, and collaborative and support areas. Our team collaborated with Gensler as the architect for the space. Extensive coordination took place for the construction of the new MCR room and the relocation of equipment. Renovations were completed over a 16-week time frame.

Confidential Financial Client

A. Martini & Co. was selected as the General Contractor for this Client Center for a Confidential Client in Pittsburgh.

The scope of work for this high-end space consisted of a reception area, library, two conference rooms, a kitchen/servery for the client center space, open and private offices, collaboration spaces, kitchen, a Mother’s Room, and huddle rooms.

There was extensive coordination with the Client’s IT vendor on the MER/Data room, as well as the building owner.

This project was completed in 12 weeks.

Wabtec

A. Martini & Co. was selected as the General Contractor for Wabtec’s new headquarters in Pittsburgh on the North Shore. Spanning 82,000sf, the project consisted of open office spaces, conference rooms, a large board room, private offices, training rooms, kitchenettes, IDF/MDF rooms, and security upgrades. Each department offers areas for collaboration, conference rooms, kitchenettes, and casual gathering spaces.

The entire office is fully technology-enabled and also includes an on-site fitness center and locker rooms. A. Martini & Co. coordinated with client selected vendors for the IT portion of the project.

This project was completed in phases, on multiple floors, and our team met the fast-track 16-week schedule.

One Oxford Centre

A. Martini & Co. has been working in One Oxford Centre for Shorenstein Realty Partners for nearly two years. Our initial project in the building was the Oxford Market on the ground floor. From there, A. Martini & Co. has moved from floor to floor, updating common spaces throughout the building, constructing a Spec Suite on the 39th Floor and providing tenant fit-outs for both new and existing tenants in the building. Brunner

A. Martini & Co. served as the General Contractor for the renovation of Brunner’s multi-level office space in the 11 Stanwix Street Building.

This project involved two phases, with construction running concurrently on both floors. Our team reconfigured the department spaces and design elements were incorporated into each space for distinction and creativity, which is evident when you walk both floors of their office. The open-concept is now evident from the time you step off the elevator into their common space and reception area. The Town Hall, located on the second floor offers open seating and different work “spaces” from tables, to chairs, to huddle spaces, along with a large bar for eating and entertaining. Directly off this space are five different conference rooms. Another unique element revamped in the renovation was Brunner’s “black box” area that they use for video, audio, photography, and editing for all their clients. Other new spaces included the VR (virtual reality) area with a large IT component; teamwork areas on the 5th floor, off the lobby; small phone/huddle rooms and the main lobby.

Brunner’s office remained fully operational and staff were relocated, in phases, in order to complete the work. The work was completed in 18 weeks.

Accenture

A. Martini & Co. served as the General Contractor for the 16,000sf interior fit-out for Accenture Pittsburgh. The project entailed the revamp of the elevator lobby, consisting of new tile flooring, feature wood veneered ceiling carrying into new reception area. Open reception area with coffee bar, co-working areas, and a 1,500sf client presentation suite with the option of splitting the room into two via an operable partition. Inside the office space, departments are distinguished by color and unique design elements, consisting of open office areas, private conference rooms and family-style seating throughout. The kitchen is centrally located and features a variety of different seating options.

This project was completed on a tight, 13 week, schedule. Our team found asbestos in the space early on, to which we had to spot abate areas for MEP’s, drywall trades, etc. We monitored air quality throughout construction and County testing was done to approve the abatement prior to mobilization within the phases of work.

PNC Consumer Loan Center Cafe & Common Areas

As the General Contractor, A. Martini & Co. provided a total interior renovation of the Café and Common Area space for PNC’s Corporate Loan Center in Liberty Commons. The project included renovations to 8,668sf of space. The scope of work encompasses selective demolition, drywall and finishes, plumbing, electrical and new food service equipment. The updated space provides a refresh to the cafeteria, incorporating PNC’s brand into this daily-used space.

Liberty Center 5 Star Management Offices and Spec Suite

A. Martini & Co. completed a tenant fit-out for 5-Star Service Worldwide, a nationwide workplace concept by CBRE Global Investors. This office space entailed a reception area, four private office spaces, a small kitchenette, a private board room, large conference/training room with ability to divide into two spaces, and an open dining/kitchen space for guests. The entire space has high-end finishes and is available for any tenant to use in Liberty Center. In addition, our team built out a small spec-suite on the seventh floor to use as a show space for future tenants, as well as new tenants looking to choose finishes and space layouts.

Frost Brown Todd

A. Martini & Co. completed the build out of new law offices for Frost Brown Todd, who relocated their firm to the historic Union Trust Building, downtown Pittsburgh. The 18,000sf space offers the law firm the luxury of accommodating 30+ lawyers. Our team worked with Frost Brown Todd to get the project under their initial budget through an in-depth value engineering process. The scope of work included 30 private offices around the perimeter, paralegal, as well as open office spaces, multiple conference rooms with teleconferencing capabilities, a large multi-purpose/teaching room, servery area off the main lobby, eat-in cafe on the east side of the building and a large, open reception area. The project was completed on a 10-week schedule. The architect for this project was NEXT Architecture. James Gallery was responsible for the artwork throughout the space.
